Exams in nursing school are always around the corner. A few needed necessities for studying include pen, notebook, textbook, caffeine, water, and snacks. But what makes a tasty study snack.
#1 Finger foods
Finger foods have the ability for a bit size snack for little distraction during the study session. The plate full of delicious finger foods to quickly pop into your mouth. Usually the finger foods are easy to grab and less messy. The mess factor is less distracting during the the study session, less time spent wiping down down your hands between a bite and flipping your page.
#2 Healthy
As much as a plateful of pizza bites or a bowl of chips, they are tasty but will fill you up and make you feel heavy and sick. A healthy snack will keep you full, clear-headed, alert, and not cause a sugar crash. Over a semester of exams if each time you sit down with delicious but less than nutritious, you may notice weight gain. Between the stress and constant assignments the small way to stay health will help in the long term.
#3 Easily accessible and easy to assemble
The third item to consider for a great snack is easy to assemble and access, such as a bag of sweet potato chips, or making your own before the session. Prepare for the time to study, so in the middle you aren’t looking for something and rummaging through the refrigerator or cabinets. A snack either small and eaten in a few bites such as a banana, a protein bar, or hard boiled eggs or something more to graze like baby carrots, sweet potato chips and crackers and hummus; either way the snack is part of the study session.
